INTRODUCTION
Aqua is a designer and material researcher specialized in the intersection of advanced knitwear and textile technology. With an academic background from Central Saint Martins—comprising a BA (Hons) in Textile Design and an MA in Fashion Knitwear—Aqua’s work explores the structural boundaries of fiber and the functional potential of "soft armor."
By experimentally reconfiguring fundamental techniques, such as ribbing, cabling, and Half Milano structures, Aqua evolves knitwear from conventional 2D planar surfaces into complex 3D architectures, unlocking new spatial and volumetric possibilities within textile construction.
Through a rigorous process of material innovation, Aqua bridges the gap between artisanal craftsmanship and speculative design.
